Who we are & What we do
Hands for Hope (H4H) is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian and non-religious charity organisation established by a group of young Vietnamese Victorians. H4H was inaugurated in August 2000 and was formally and legally registered in Australia on 23rd March 2001 as Hands for Hope Inc. (Gop Mot Ban Tay) under the 1981 Incorporation Act, with Registration number A0040881V. All H4H members are un-paid volunteers and our projects are directly managed by these dedicated members. Project funding is obtained through fundraising appeals organised by members and partners of the association.
Our Mission
Strive to help disadvantaged children in Vietnam so that they may become self sufficient to lead a healthy and productive life within their community.
Our Team
Hands for Hope currently has over 50 registered members and is committed to encourage all our members to take active roles in every aspect of H4H's activities. We passionately believe in the benefit of volunteering for young people and their community.
We are pleased to introduce the newly elected Management Team for 2007, and hope you will join our members in supporting them, so that together, we can continue helping disadvantaged children in Vietnam.

Our Brief History
In 1999, organisation of urgent relief for flood victims in central Vietnam brought together numerous organisations within the Vietnamese community in Australia. These organisations included the Vietnamese Professional Society, Hoa Nien Youth Group, Vietnamese Student Association, VoVinam, and the Vietnamese Women's Association. The participating organisations intended the group to continue so that future relief operations could be mobilised quickly and effectively. Today, H4H projects focus on Education Sponsorship, Corrective Surgeries and Infrastructure Building and Repairing.
