Walk-A-Thon 2014

This years Hands for Hope annual  Walk-A-Thon will be held on Saturday 05 April 2014, a tradition since 2003. All proceeds from this fundraising event are allocated to H4H Corrective Surgery Program.

Walk-A-Thon Logo

Every step we take on this walk and every dollar we raise, will help a child in Vietnam to discover the possibilities of walking, moving about on their own, and overcoming the disabilities most of them have known since birth.

Hands for Hope aims to complete 100 surgery cases annually at the cost of $300/case from the fund raised from the our annual Walk-A-Thon.

H4H Corrective Surgery Program

Aim: To assist poor children in remote parts of Vietnam, who are living with physical disabilities which take away their self-reliance and prevent them from being able to fully participate in the community around them. The program coordinates and funds the necessary surgery and rehabilitation required to correct or alleviate their disabilities.

To date H4H has completed over 1,350 surgery cases.

To all our sponsors, donors and supporters, we say a heartfelt THANK YOU. A special thank you goes out to our members and volunteers, who are our true heroes and silent achievers. Your time and effort for this and every other event never goes unnoticed and always very appreciated.

Since its inception in the year 2000 by a group of young Australian Vietnamese, Hands for Hope, has in the past 13 years undertaken a number of projects with the focus on two programs; Corrective Surgery Program and Education Scholarship Program.

We received many positive feedback from guests who had a great time on the night.

“I wanted to say to H4H how very grateful and appreciative I am of their works and efforts in making last night a huge success. How much was done to put on the event and irrespective of success being almost our failure H4H absolutely once again showed the community what a LOVE is.”
Phong Pham

“The Vietnamese Students’ Association would like to thank Hands for Hope for organising such an amazing charity dinner. We had so much fun and was more than glad to help out with the selling of raffles of tickets and just being part of this great cause to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Be sure that we will be back next year.”

On behalf of all the lives you are about to change, we at Hands for Hope, say Thank You!

Let us celebrate our achievements and continue our collaborative support for the less fortunate children of Vietnam. There is yet much work to be done.
