We are overwhelmed with the support received by Sydney at Hands for Hope launching Masquerade Ball “The Phantom” held on Friday 6th December 2013 at Crystal Palace, Canley Heights, NSW. The launching event was well received by 470 guests from all over Sydney. Together, we have raised $24,154 on the night from a combination of event sponsorships, dinner ticket sales, donated auction items, Project 50 Pledges, Head & Tail game, photo booth, mask sales and donations. What a wonderful night of giving and fun was had by all.

To all our sponsors, donors and supporters, we say a heartfelt THANK YOU. Without your generosity and support Hands for Hope would not be able to undertake the many ambitious projects that we do for the disadvantaged children of Vietnam. A special thank you goes out to our members and volunteers, who are our true heroes and silent achievers. Your time and effort for this and every other event never goes unnoticed and always very appreciated.
Since its inception in the year 2000 by a group of young Australian Vietnamese, Hands for Hope, has in the past 13 years undertaken a number of projects with the focus on two programs; Corrective Surgery Program and Education Scholarship Program.
The proceeds from this event will be funded 400 scholarships for 400 children whose family face financial hardship and who are high academic achievers. (Distinction + students, please see video clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW3k9yHGfc0 )
I invite you to celebrate a safe Christmas 2013 with your families and friends with joy and pride, knowing that this Christmas, you’ve given the unconditional gifts not just to your loved ones but also extended to the children who you have never met. They are the children who’ve wished for a chance to change their lives for a better future and dear friends, you’ve granted them their wish.
