Hands for Hope Events
Hands for Hope organises two fundraising events during the year the Walk-A-Thon and Fundraising Dinner, which provide the majority of funds required for our projects. For more information about both events please access the event page on the left.
Walk-A-Thon 2010 - Walk for the Children Who Can't
Once again it's time for our annual Walk-A-Thon 2010 - Walk for the children of Vietnam "Walk for those who can't". Help the children of Vietnam by participating in our annual Walk-A-Thon. Donations will provide much needed funds for corrective surgery to those who cannot afford it.
Enjoy a great day - walking in the park and helping the children in Vietnam!
Date & Time: 9am - 2pm Saturday 17 April 2010
Location: Footscray Park (Melway: 42-D2)
Walking route: Along Maribyrnong River, suitable for all ages.
Free T-shirt, BBQ and entertainment for all participants.

H4H Vietnam Typhoon Appeal 2009
One of the most destructive storms in years, Ketsana first made landfall in the Philippines on 26 September before strengthening over the South China Sea has struck central Vietnam.
Hands for Hope has pledged $3000 in relief aid for the worst effected areas and is calling for further donation so that they can give assistance to 300 families in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, two of the hardest hit provinces, beside Kontum. This is a temporary relief effort, further assistance will be assessed while our member is surveying the extended of destruction, especially in regions where disadvantaged children under H4H sponsorship program are residing. H4H 9th Annual Fundraising Dinner
Hands for Hope’s 9th Annual Fundraising Dinner held on September 18th 2009 was a great success and well attended with over 400 guests came to support us. Our annual dinner aims to raise funds to support projects with focus on education, healthcare and infrastructure helping disadvantaged children in Vietnam.
The total income on the night was $41,792 minus $14,486 in expenses giving the total amount raised of $27,306. The money raised will contribute to H4H common fund to run Educations Projects for over 800 disadvantaged students, Corrective Medical Surgery and Infrastructure Projects in Vietnam for the 2009 - 2010 financial year.
